THE ORIGIN STORY
Why Propulsion?
Science defines propulsion as the act of driving or pushing forward. It is about overcoming resistance to create movement.
We chose this name because too many students feel the opposite: they feel stuck. In Year 10 or Year 12, the concepts and equations can get confusing and cause anxiety. Traditional classroom teaching often leaves these students behind, feeling lost and unsure how to move forward.
Propulsion Tutoring helps by using expert knowledge, encouragement, and clear strategies to get your learning back on track. Once you have momentum, progress comes faster.

MEET THE TUTOR
Qualifications
I am a fully qualified Science and Maths teacher and former Head of Physics, with experience teaching both subjects through to A-Level. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Birmingham and have over five years of private tutoring experience, guiding more than 50 students toward their desired results (see more details below). I also held a post-16 learning support role, so I have extensive experience addressing students’ stress and concerns and supporting them both academically and personally.
My Vision
I started Propulsion Tutoring because I saw many capable students lose confidence when lessons were unclear. My goal is simple: make Maths and Science easy to access, interesting, and—dare I say it—fun. I want to offer a service that is the opposite of traditional, static lessons.

Greg has been absolutely fantastic with my daughter. She was very nervous about starting Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A Level and needed a confidence boost.
